Paulo Rodrigues works as a technical adviser in the department of Economic Studies of the Bank of Portugal and is a senior lecturer of Economics at Universidade Nova, in Lisbon. He is a researcher at the International Research Centre on Planning and Tourism at the University of the Algarve (CIITT) and at the Centre of Advanced Studies in Economics and Econometrics (CASEE), among others. He is also a senior lecturer of Economics at the University of the Algarve. He holds an undergraduate degree in Business Management, a Master’s degree in Economics and Econometrics and a PhD in Econometrics from the University of Manchester (UK). Research interests include econometrics, time series, financial econometrics, tourism economics and applied macroeconomics. He was a guest researcher in several international institutions, has published over 40 papers in international and national peer-reviewed journals and is a referee for several international scientific journals. At the level of applied research, he has participated in several projects and is the head-researcher in various projects funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology.
