Rachele Lawton is the Department Chair for English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), World Languages and Reading at The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. She has served as the Department Chair for four years. Rachele has also taught ESOL for over ten years, both in the U.S. and in Ecuador, and she has worked as an ESOL teacher trainer in Italy. She has a PhD in Linguistics from Lancaster University, UK, an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from the University of Leicester, UK, and an MA in Liberal Studies/English from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, USA. Her areas of interest are Sociolinguistics, Language Policy and Discourse Analysis.
