Sílvia Quinteiro is a professor at University of the Algarve – School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism. She holds an first degree in Modern Languages and Literatures (Portuguese and German Studies) from Universidade Nova, in Lisbon, a Master’s and a PhD degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Lisbon. She is a member of the scientific council of the research centre for Comparative Studies of the University of Lisbon. Research interests include Comparative Literature, Romanticism and the relations between Literature and Emotions and Literature and Tourism. She has authored several national and international scientific publications in these areas.
