Since its first issue in 1995, Dos Algarves: A Mutidisciplinary e-Journal has been dedicated to presenting multidisciplinary research which reflects the nature of the work carried out at the School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism (ESGHT), University of the Algarve.

The main aims of the journal are:


(i)    To disseminate the scientific and scholarly work of researchers in the disciplinary and research fields of Applied Tourism, Hospitality, Business, Finance (including Accountancy and Law), Social Sciences (applied to Tourism, Hospitality and Business research), applied ICT and Applied Linguistics, with a special focus on Languages for Specific Purposes.

(ii)    To promote an international forum for academic debate on issues concerning the aforementioned
disciplinary areas;

(iii)    To be a platform for disseminating and promoting research carried out in different institutions throughout the world.

Dos Algarves: A Multidisciplinary e-Journal publishes one issue per year, with an average of five to eight 5,000-7,000 word articles, which must be the result of original work. These articles either present an applied research viewpoint or assume a more essay-type nature. The journal is multilingual, publishing articles in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

All articles submitted to Dos Algarves: A Multidisciplinary e-Journal follow a three-step selection process: (i) initial selection by the editors; (ii) double blind peer review by two or more experts in the research area from our International Scientific Advisory Board (iii) final review by a language specialist. With the aim of promoting freely available scientific and academic knowledge, our journal follows an open access policy.

The Call for Papers is currently open all year round and the editorial board welcomes all submissions to our journal; however we ask authors to please follow carefully the Guidelines for Submission.
